What works is the wind-drift mechanic. Each petal falls with an angle affected by current wind direction. Anticipating wind shifts becomes the format's main skill. Reading the wind arrow indicator at the top of the screen lets you pre-position the catcher.
Sixty levels with increasing wind intensity per tier. Tier one has mild constant winds. Tier two adds wind-shifts mid-fall. Tier three has gusty unpredictable wind that requires real-time adjustment.
Tested over four Osaka subway commute sessions. Touch swipe is the natural input. Keyboard arrow keys work on desktop with similar feel.
Where the design earns its rating is the visual presentation. Hand-drawn petals with varied shapes and colours fall against pastel backgrounds. The aesthetic suits the gentle format.
Where I would push back is the absence of a calm mode without wind for new players. The wind mechanic is the format's depth but it also raises the entry barrier. A no-wind tutorial mode would have helped onboarding.
